The Melon City Bike Club exists to help area residents further enjoy the healthy recreational activity of bicycling. Collectively, the group organizes a wide variety of cycling events. These include weekly rides for all fitness and experience levels, special events, a race criterium and safety initiatives.
The club organizes an annual RAGBRAI group charter. Members enjoy a wide array of amenities including bike shipping, gear transport, group campsite, charter bus, and more.
We also aim to represent cyclist's interests at the local and state legislative levels. The Melon City Bike Club serves to protect our rights with respect to state and county roads and various municipal considerations.
